What’s in the bay today? Friends of Cabbage Tree Bay
Before you jump in the water at Cabbage Tree Bay, chat to the Friends of Cabbage Tree Bay volunteers just beside the ramp at Shelly Beach to find out what has been spotted in the bay that day and if keen to learn more, ask about volunteering with them.
June and the winter months are a great time to get in the water at Cabbage Tree Bay Aquatic Reserve. Maybe cooler but generally clearer so better for spotting the many amazing creatures below the water.
This time of year you can hope to see Port Jackson sharks, maybe a grey nurse, perhaps giant cuttlefish and generally a blue grouper or two. Over 250 varieties of marine creatures call Cabbage Tree Bay home, so grab your mask and snorkel and jump in.
21 – 22 & 28 – 29 June, 10am – 2.30pm
