Shell is a mist sculpture reflecting Manly’s relationship with our
environment, the harbour and marine life.
This highly interactive sculpture features a seven metre diameter
nautilus shell incorporating 32 misting nozzles that create clouds of
cooling water to a timed sequence.
At night, the mist is effectively illuminated from the nozzles by fibre
optics and the shell floats in a ring of concealed blue neon.
