Ever watched the lifesavers on your local beach and wondered what it actually takes?
Bilgola Surf Life Saving Club is throwing open the doors for a free community Lifesaving Open Day on Sunday 31 May, 12:30 to 3:30pm at Bilgola Beach.
This is a rare chance to get up close to the real thing. Live IRB and board rescue demonstrations on the water, a hands-on CPR and first aid showcase, patrol walkthroughs, surf boats, and a relaxed BBQ on the beach all afternoon.
Whether you’ve got kids who love the water, you’ve always been curious about surf lifesaving, or you just want a great free afternoon at one of Sydney’s best beaches, this day is for you.
