Refresh your wardrobe without the expense to yourself or the planet. This is a win-win: clear space in your wardrobe and give those items you haven’t worn in years a new lease on life. At the same time, pick up some new (to you) outfits for the new season ahead.

Manly Food Co-op and Op for Change have joined forces to create an inaugural Manly clothes swap event.

How to join the swap:

1) Have a scout around at home for great quality items that you no longer need – try to find at least three items. They will accept high quality clothes and shoes in good condition.

2) Register your attendance by booking your spot.

3) Keep your eyes out for more items as we wait for the big day!

4) On the day, bring between three and 10 items that you’d like to pass on and collect an equal number of tokens. Browse the collection and take home the same number of items.

Doors will open from 9.00am for the drop off of your items. Then come back at 10.00am and the swap will commence.

The entry fee is a small $5 donation to support Op for Change’s new initiative to provide business wear to disadvantaged women that are seeking employment.

IMPORTANT RULES:

• Items should be clean, in good condition, and of good quality (no holes or stains).
• Although they expect mostly women’s clothing, if you have kids or menswear you are welcome to bring these along too.
