Felons Manly has grown into a harbourside brewery and cultural hub that blends fresh beer, food, music and community on the edge of Sydney Harbour. Set within Manly Wharf, the venue brings together a fully operational microbrewery, the newly opened Felons Barrel Room and a range of relaxed spaces designed for families, locals and visitors to spend time by the water.

At the centre of the operation is a custom-built, steam-powered 18.5-hectolitre brewhouse. It showcases the practical craft of brewing, with beer, cider and seltzer poured directly from 3600-litre tanks for maximum freshness. Guided tours, tastings and brewer meet-and-greets offer a behind-the-scenes look at how Felons’ beers are made. Alongside classics like Crisp Lager, Galaxy Haze and Australian Pale Ale, the Manly team develops small-batch, seasonal and venue-exclusive releases that draw on the character of the Northern Beaches. A Japanese rice lager brewed specially for the site also supports Felons’ ongoing partnership with Seabin, helping remove plastic from Sydney Harbour.

The Felons Barrel Room expands the brewery’s offering into a lively cultural space, holding up to 700 people and featuring more than 100 French oak barrels used for ageing a wide variety of beers. The room includes a stage, dedicated bars and dining for more than 300 guests, supported by an advanced sound system and adaptable lighting. Its program focuses on local talent, hosting everything from live music and DJ sets to comedy, trivia nights and intimate acoustic sessions.

Food plays an important role too. Australian-Vietnamese chefs Bao La and Ty Bellingham have developed a menu built around vibrant Vietnamese dishes made to complement Felons’ barrel-aged beers, alongside natural wines, cocktails and a thoughtful back bar.

Since taking over Manly Wharf in 2024, Artemus Group has been shaping the precinct into a welcoming destination. Felons Manly reflects that goal: a place where people can relax, come together and feel part of the community.
