After refuelling at a local café or bakery, you are ready to start walking the Barrenjoey Lighthouse walk. Make your way up the paved access track and down the more challenging Smugglers Track. As you walk up the headland the views get better with every step you take.  At the top you will be rewarded with picturesque views of the ocean beach, Ku-Ring-Gai National Park and views across Pittwater. The entire walk is 2.2 kilometres and should take around an hour and a half.

If you happen to be visiting on a Sunday, we recommend you join the Barrenjoey Lighthouse tour. Hear about the history, climb the stairs, and put yourself in the 19th century lighthouse keeper’s shoes.
