Warriewood is all about the outdoors and has so much to offer, from the rugged coastline to the calmness of the wetlands. It is secluded and quieter than nearby Narrabeen and Mona Vale. We have compiled a list of some of the ‘must see and do’ attractions and activities whilst you are visiting Warriewood.

Do the Turrimetta Headland Walk

The Turrimetta Headland walk is a local favourite walking along some of the picturesque Northern Beaches coastline towards North Narrabeen Beach. Start the walk at the Warriewood surf club and soak up the ocean views. Along the way you will pass the Turimetta Beach, which is a  secret beach is popular amongst the locals. Follow the bush path around to Narrabeen Beach and reward yourself with coffee or lunch at one of the many cafes and restaurants.

Walk the Warriewood Wetlands

The Warriewood Wetlands is overlooked by most locals, but it is the largest remaining sand plain wetlands in the Northern Sydney area. There is a 2.4km walkway through the heart of the wetlands. It is home to a variety of native animals and with over of 80 species of birds spotted it is popular with birdwatchers. If you are interested in bird watching, you can join one of the tours with Aussie Bird Tours.

Within the wetlands you can explore the Irrawong waterfall, which is very close to Warriewood Square. The waterfall clearing is a popular picnic spot, but the size of the clearing depends on recent rainfall.

Go to the beach

Warriewood Beach is a beautiful picturesque 500 metre stretch of golden sands running between Mona Vale Headland and Turimetta Head. Like the area, the beach itself is also secluded and peaceful. You can enjoy a quiet stroll along the beach, swim in the surf or enjoy a relaxing coffee and bite to eat at the cafe above the beach. There are also great walking trails from the top of the surrounding headlands.

Shop till you drop

Warriewood Square has an exciting mix of over 100 speciality stores where coastal style meets quality.  A shopping trip isn’t complete without great food, which is why Warriewood square has a food court and plenty of cafes inside the complex.

Catch a movie

If it is a rainy day you can watch a movie at the United Cinema in Warriewood. If you want to watch a movie in comfort and style, be sure to book a movie in one of their reclining Grand Seats.  They have an extensive Candy Bar with a range of goodies for you to stock up before the beginning of the movie. Play a round of Mini Golf

For a fun day out with family or friends, visit the Pittwater Golf Centre where you can test your golfing skills at their 36-hole pirate themed mini golf course, exploring caves and shipwrecks. There is also a driving range available for those wanting to perfect their swing. They are open 7 days a week from 8am to 9pm.

Shop at the local Market

To purchase your quality weekly food, the Beaches Farmers Market is held at Pittwater Rugby Park in Warriewood every Friday from 8am to 1pm. Here you can find organic and conventional fresh fruit and vegetables, meats direct from the farm, delicious dairy products, great coffee and tasty treats.

Visit Hang 10 Distillery

As the name suggests, Hang 10 Distillery was inspired by the surf and a passion to combat climate change and protect the ocean. In a bold move to help deal with food waste, this distillery uses leftover bread from local bakeries to make its sustainable and handcrafted spirits and beer. Call in and try – you’ll be helping the planet while enjoying a drink or two.

Warriewood is 15.3km (9.5 miles) from Manly and 29.4km (18.2 miles) from Sydney’s CBD.

Travelling on public transport?

  • Catch a 199 bus from Stand B in Manly.
  • Catch a B1 bus from Wynyard Station in Sydney
