Take a Scenic Headland Walk

Narrabeen has a variety of scenic walks ranging from the bushland setting of the lagoon to stunning cliffs with great views over the ocean. One of our favourites is the Turrimetta headland walk, which is part of the Bicentennial walking track stretching from Mona Vale to Queenscliff Beach. The walk begins at the northern end of Narrabeen beach and after heading up a flight of stairs, you will be rewarded with magnificent views overlooking the beach and the entrance of the Lagoon. Follow the bush path around the headland to Warriewood Beach and reward yourself with coffee or lunch at one of the many cafes and restaurants.

Check out Narrabeen Lagoon

Narrabeen Lagoon is the perfect spot for outdoor activities, such as bushwalking, fishing, jogging, SUP boarding, cycling and kayaking.  The 8.6 km (5.3 miles) walk or bike ride winds around the foreshore of the lagoon where you will enjoy views of the ecosystems, wildlife, cultural heritage and historical icons.

Towards the entrance to the lake, you will find a small-protected beach that is a perfect spot for families to relax and swim.

Shop at the local markets

On the 3rd Sunday of every month, Narrabeen hosts an outdoor market set amongst the trees at Berry reserve, adjacent to the Lagoon. Here you can explore over 80 stalls offering arts, craft, jewellery, collectibles, designer fashions, food stalls and much more.

Enjoy the Local Beaches

Narrabeen Beach is a 3km (1.8 miles) long stretch of golden sand and has become a world famous surfing spot of the Northern Beaches.  When you visit, don’t forget to pack your surfboard or body board to make the most of your stay.  From Collaroy to Narrabeen there are four surf lifesaving clubs, so you can always find a patch of sand away from the crowds. At the northern end of the beach you will find a 50m rock pool, which is good for swimmers and families.

Enjoy the Bilarong Reserve Playground

If you are looking for a great playground, try Bilarong Reserve located on Narrabeen Lagoon.  Here you will find a large enclosed playground with a grassy reserve that will keep the kids entertained for hours. There are free barbeques for you to use, making it the perfect spot to for a waterside picnic.
