Collaroy Rockpool

Child Friendly Rockpool

Collaroy Rockpool is very popular with families because of the small toddler wading area, playground and calm beach. It is the perfect place to cool off on a warm summer’s day. The beach and rockpools are ideal for families as there is often little to no surf. The enclosed playground is fantastic for kids of all ages with swings, slides and play equipment.


Dee Why Rockpool

Another popular family spot is the Dee Why rockpool, because of its proximity to playgrounds and local eateries. The pool is broken into 2 sections, a large pool for laps and a special toddler wading area. To get to the rockpool, head to the southern end of the beach along a path and you will pass a fantastic playground that is great for kids of all ages. There are public toilets close by and plenty of seating for you to set up camp for the day.


Fairlight Rockpool

Fairlight rockpool is located along the Manly to Spit walkway approx. 10-15 minute walk from Manly. It is popular for families as it is pram accessible from the path. The ocean pool has a small paddling area with warm showers and public toilets nearby.


Fairy Bower Rockpool

This iconic rockpool is a short 10 – 15 min walk from Manly Beach. Fairy Bower rockpool is a shallow, triangular pool located along the Shelly Beach Walkway. After a swim in the pool you can walk around to Shelly Beach for a play in the sand or you can keep walking all the way to North Head Sanctuary.


Mona Vale Rockpool

Mona Vale rockpool is situated on the tip of a sand spit near the northern end of Mona Vale Beach. There are two rock pools here: a larger pool, and a smaller pool which is great for children and less confident swimmers. You are close to Apex Park which has a large playground and bike paths, great for little kids.
