As the name suggests Eastern Hill encompasses the eastern headland of Manly. Eastern Hill is a combination of residential buildings, historical buildings, extensive bushland includind national park areas, viewing points, beaches as well as Aboriginal sites. This 5km, intermediate walk will guide you through the Eastern Hill area of Manly, with the option of visiting the beaches on its fringes. This is a dynamic landscape with a combination of both natural and the built environment. Eastern Hill is rich in history both traditional and contemporary.
The gateway to the Eastern Hill area is from the centre of Manly, the mouth between Manly Wharf and Manly Beach. This is a very pleasant walk with views over Sydney Harbour to the city and back in towards Manly and Manly Beach itself.
